The largest Victorian childcare sale for 2018 recently SOLD by CBRE for $9,500,000, was sourced and secured for development by Mollard Property. Our comprehensive due diligence resulted in this prime Oakleigh South site being secured, followed by the successful approval for the newly built childcare centre, licensed for 139 places. This high exposure corner site is a strong example that strategic location of childcare centres in demand-driven areas is key to a project’s overall success.   Do you know how to boost our economy? Accounting firm  KPMG  is calling on the federal government to  boost subsidies for childcare  in the October budget to 95% of total costs. In an interview with the Australian, KPMG Australia Chair Alison Kitchen said moving towards fully funded childcare was particularly important in saving jobs given that the social and economic impact of COVID-19 fell more heavily on women. “The government is looking for ways to stimulate the economy, boost access to jobs and improve productivity”, she said. “We believe focusing on making childcare more accessible and affordable is very timely, given the impact of childcare on worker productivity and economic activity.” This will be a major boost for the childcare industry and there is talk of a 100% funding of total costs.
