The month of September has been exceptional for Mollard Property Group and we are proud to share our achievements and the positive impact for our clients.
  • A 150-place childcare centre opened in Randwick (NSW). A former ten-pin bowling facility above Coles was converted into this unique centre. The team at Mollard Property Group sourced the site in this prime retail precinct and secured the childcare tenant.
  • A development application for a 117-place childcare centre in Ringwood East (Vic) received a Planning Permit. This soon to be, newly built childcare centre is located within the region's most prominent medical and hospital precinct.
  • A site for development of a two-storey 128-place childcare centre in Bulleen (Vic) was secured, for both the Developer and the Tenant. It is located on a main road, providing easy access for drop-offs and pick-ups. As the appointed Development Manager, Mollard Property Group will be excited to receive a Planning Permit for it soon.

The heritage commercial building, carriageway easement and car parking requirements posed challenges to our team, however the risks were mitigated through an in-depth analysis, fully considered planning and design. Mollard Property Group sourced the site based on a detailed childcare needs assessment, secured the tenant and completed the Development Management to successfully be granted a development approval. The site also benefits from the recent rezoning of Arden Macaulay Structure Plan. What was previously predominantly industrial zone will be renewed to transition into major employment and residential destination.   Do you know how to boost our economy? Accounting firm  KPMG  is calling on the federal government to  boost subsidies for childcare  in the October budget to 95% of total costs. In an interview with the Australian, KPMG Australia Chair Alison Kitchen said moving towards fully funded childcare was particularly important in saving jobs given that the social and economic impact of COVID-19 fell more heavily on women. “The government is looking for ways to stimulate the economy, boost access to jobs and improve productivity”, she said. “We believe focusing on making childcare more accessible and affordable is very timely, given the impact of childcare on worker productivity and economic activity.” This will be a major boost for the childcare industry and there is talk of a 100% funding of total costs.
